On Wednesday, 28 June 2017, in the evening at 17:33, in Kauno district municipality, Biruliškių village, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 10), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mitsubishi Galant and a Toyota RAV4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (27 years of driving experience). He was drunk (0.81‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
