On Tuesday, 17 October 2017, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Kaunas, on Birželio 23-iosios street near No. 23G, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Citroen Saxo and an Audi A4 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 84-year-old driver of the Citroen (60 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
