On Tuesday, 13 March 2018, in the afternoon at 14:35, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 7.44), a Volkswagen Golf ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (21 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed.
