On Friday, 11 May 2018, in the afternoon at 13:50, in Birštono municipality, on Prienų street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Scania PM and a Lexus RX400h. One person was injured — the 41-year-old driver of the Lexus (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Scania (21 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober.
