The collision involved a BMW 525 D and a Volkswagen Passat. One person was injured — the 23-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
