On Friday, 19 July 2019, in the morning at around 6:00, in Plungės district municipality, on the Mažeikiai–Plungė–Tauragė national road (kilometre 58.37), an Opel Zafira hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 77-year-old driver of the Opel (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene.
