On Sunday, 15 September 2019, at night at 3:10, in Kauno city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 101), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo V50 and a BMW. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Volvo (1 year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (0.94‰ blood alcohol).
