On Saturday, 30 October 2021, in the afternoon at 13:40, in Kauno city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 101), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a MAN TGA 18.430 registered in Russia, a Meusburger MPS-3 registered in Russia and a Toyota Auris. Two people were injured — a 53-year-old passenger of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient) and the 52-year-old driver of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 61-year-old driver of the MAN (37 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
