On Saturday, 12 October 2019, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Aristava–Sitkūnai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 87), a Volvo FH12 registered in Poland hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Volvo (7 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
