On Friday, 3 January 2020, in the evening at 19:50, in Šilalės district municipality, on J. Basanavičiaus street near No. 19A, a BMW 320D hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 62-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties.
