On Sunday, 17 May 2020, at night at 23:26, in Biržų district municipality, on the Pasvalys–Vabalninkas regional road, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra and a Volvo V70. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
