On Wednesday, 8 July 2020, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Šilalės district municipality, Košių II village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 210.70), an Audi A6 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Audi (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
