On Tuesday, 17 November 2020, in the morning at 6:05, in Kaunas, on Šauklių street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz and a Subaru Outback. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (1.80‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
