On Saturday, 21 November 2020, in the evening at 22:30, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 288), a BMW 316 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the BMW (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
