On Tuesday, 17 January 2023, in the afternoon at 14:20, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 288), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW and a vehicle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. The driver was sober.
