On Tuesday, 26 January 2021, in the evening at around 20:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 22), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a DAF FT XF105.460 registered in Russia, a Renault registered in Russia, a Krone SD registered in Russia and a Krone SDP27 registered in Russia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the DAF (38 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was snowing, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
