On Wednesday, 17 March 2021, in the afternoon at 15:28, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 272), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a DAF and a Volkswagen Crafter. One person was injured — the 60-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the DAF (10 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober.
