On Thursday, 20 May 2021, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 104), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo and a Volkswagen. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Volvo (14 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. Both drivers were sober.
