On Saturday, 25 September 2021, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 103.50), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 and a Renault Clio. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 78-year-old driver of the Audi (1 year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
