On Thursday, 10 June 2021, in the evening at 17:15, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 89), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the BMW (10 years of driving experience), who fell asleep at the wheel. Both drivers were sober.
