On Tuesday, 13 July 2021, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 107.50), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a MAN, a trailer/semi-trailer > 10 t and a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the MAN (34 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
