On Saturday, 28 August 2021, in the afternoon at 16:26, in Vilniaus district municipality, on the Vilnius–Utena main road (kilometre 21), a Mazda 6 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 78-year-old driver of the Mazda (25 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
