On Saturday, 9 April 2022, at night at 3:22, in Alytus, on Naujoji street, at the junction with Rūtų street, an Opel Vectra hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober.
