On Monday, 23 May 2022, in the evening at 20:30, in Panevėžys, on Nemuno street, at the junction with Klaipėdos street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Seat and a Renault Espace. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Seat, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
