On Sunday, 10 July 2022, in the evening at 21:05, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 24), an Opel Astra-G-Caravan ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Opel (15 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.11‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 120 km/h.
