On Sunday, 7 April 2024, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) national road (kilometre 221.90), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Honda PC 35 (CBR 600 F) and a Volkswagen Caddy. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Honda, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
