On Tuesday, 28 May 2024, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Šilalės district municipality, Bardžių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 208), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a vehicle and a Toyota. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who violated overtaking rules. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
