On Friday, 1 November 2024, at night at 3:33, in Kaunas, on Tunelio street near No. 26, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz and a BMW 320D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 75-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (34 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, there was freezing rain, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
