Drunk, unlicensed driver and Audi crash at Giedraičių and Žalgirio streets, Vilnius
On Sunday, 13 October 2013, in the afternoon at 11:22, in Vilnius, on Giedraičių street, at the junction with Žalgirio street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 and an Audi 100 Avant. One person was injured — the 32-year-old driver of the Audi 100 Avant (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Audi 80, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.47‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
