Renault hits a pedestrian at a crossing at Žirmūnų and Kareivių streets, Vilnius

On Sunday, 20 October 2013, in the evening at 19:58, in Vilnius, on Žirmūnų street, at the junction with Kareivių street, a Renault Kangoo hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 31-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Renault (a citizen of Great Britain) (14 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
