Renault driver flees after hitting a pedestrian at a crossing at Rasų and Drujos streets, Vilnius
On Wednesday, 4 December 2013, in the evening at 17:30, in Vilnius, on Rasų street, at the junction with Drujos street, a Renault Laguna hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 62-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Renault (9 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
