Peugeot rolls over on the Laukuva–Šilalė road

On Tuesday, 24 December 2013, in the morning at around 5:00, in Šilalės district municipality, Kerbedžių village, on the Laukuva–Šilalė national road (kilometre 10.62), a Peugeot 607 rolled over. Two people were injured — a 23-year-old passenger of the Peugeot (hospitalized) and a 24-year-old passenger of the Peugeot (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Peugeot (7 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
