On Thursday, 22 May 2014, in the evening at around 22:00, in Kaunas, on Šiaurės avenue near No. 8D, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Ford Fiesta and a BMW 730. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Ford (36 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 10 km/h.
