On Friday, 15 August 2014, in the afternoon at 11:15, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 105), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Volkswagen Passat (9 years of driving experience), who failed to comply with road signs or markings and failed to give way when changing direction.
