On Sunday, 7 June 2015, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 105), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Fiat Ulysse, a Volvo S80 and a Volvo XC70. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Fiat, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
