On Thursday, 28 August 2014, in the afternoon at 14:20, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 46), a BMW 740D hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the BMW (4 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober.
