On Friday, 17 October 2014, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 90.70), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Insignia, a Krone SDP27 and a Renault Premium 420.18. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Opel (2 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 120 km/h.
