On Monday, 16 February 2015, in the morning at around 9:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 6.85), a Renault Espace hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Renault, who was driving fatigued. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
