On Thursday, 23 July 2015, in the afternoon at 13:10, in Tauragės district municipality, on the Ryga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningradas main road (kilometre 158), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 525 and an Opel Vectra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the BMW (8 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober.
