On Monday, 21 September 2015, in the afternoon at 15:40, in Varėnos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Varėna–Gardinas main road (kilometre 101.71), an Audi 80 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Audi (8 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene.
