On Wednesday, 27 July 2016, in the evening at 22:44, in Kauno district municipality, Domeikavos village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 105), a DAF XF 95.430 registered in Latvia hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the DAF (34 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
