On Sunday, 6 November 2016, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 106.75), a Suzuki SX 4 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Suzuki (20 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
