On Tuesday, 15 November 2016, in the morning at 7:30, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 22), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Scania registered in Estonia, an Audi 80 and a Berger Sapl 24. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Scania (3 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
