On Monday, 28 November 2016, in the evening at around 22:00, in Kaunas, on Gimnazijos street near No. 2, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Bora and a Volkswagen Touareg. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Volkswagen Bora (2 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
