On Monday, 6 March 2017, in the afternoon at 15:29, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 6), a DAF FT XF95 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the DAF (20 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
