On Sunday, 29 October 2017, at night at 1:50, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 88), an Iveco Daily registered in Russia rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Iveco (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
