On Monday, 25 June 2018, in the afternoon at 14:26, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 25.10), a DAF FT XF105.460 registered in Poland ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the DAF (11 years of driving experience), who fell asleep at the wheel. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
