On Thursday, 25 October 2018, in the evening at 19:20, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 105.30), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel, a DAF FT 105XF460 registered in Poland and a Koegel SNCS24 registered in Poland. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the Opel (21 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He was drunk (1.56‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
