On Friday, 2 November 2018, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 89), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a MAN TGX and a Nissan Almera. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 62-year-old driver of the MAN (36 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober.
