On Sunday, 15 May 2022, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 89), a Toyota Land Cruiser rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 76-year-old driver of the Toyota (27 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
